Well there have been a lot of moves in the NHL today on the first day of free agency. Some of the biggest moves involved players like Ray Whitney, Filip Kuba, Brandon Prust, P.A Parenteau, Sami Salo and Arron Asham. The Edmonton Oilers didn’t waste anytime in re-signing Ryan Smyth and the Los Angeles Kings re-signed Dustin Penner.
There are still some huge names left on the market. Zach Parise, Martin Brodeur, Ryan Suter and Rick Nash. Teams are very interested in these players but they are taking their time with finalizing the deals.
