Former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jordan Staal has agreed to a 10 year deal with the Carolina Hurricanes worth $60 million. Staal was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes on the first day of the NHL Entry Draft. Jordan Staal will now be able to play alongside his brother Eric Staal in Carolina.
Jordan had 25 goals and 25 assists last season with Pittsburgh. He turned downed a 10 year deal with Pittsburgh because he was unsure of his role now that Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are both healthy. Staal wanted to play hockey with his brother in Carolina and with this 10 year deal he will get his chance.
