Ken Hitchcock announced today that Alex Pietrangelo will return tonight after missing game two with a lower-body injury. The St. Louis Blues defenseman is a key part of their defense and without them they lost game two 5-2 against the Los Angeles Kings.
The Blues have been struggling in their series against the Kings but in game two they really missed having their star defenseman on the blue line. The Blues are now down 2-0 in this best of 7 series so they are looking for Pietrangelo’s return to spark some life back into their team.
The Blues will still be without goaltender Jaroslav Halak until at least the end of this series. New Brunswick’s Jake Allen will be backing up starting goaltender Brian Elliot tonight.
