The New York Rangers may have been slow coming out of the gate yesterday but they sure dominated the third period. They scored three unanswered goals to shutout their rivals the New Jersey Devils 3-0. Scoring for the Rangers was Dan Girardi, Chris Kreider and Ryan Callahan. New York’s goaltender Henrik Lundqvist showed exactly why he has been nominated for the Vezina and Hart Trophy by making 36 stops and earning the shutout.
The Rangers now lead the series 2-1 against the Devils. Both teams have had their ups and downs in this playoff series and I am sure the series is about to heat up even more as the these rivals battle for a chance to play for the Stanley Cup!
