Kings Sweep The Blues

The Los Angeles Kings continued their post season domination today with a 3-1 against the St. Louis Blues. With today’s victory the 8th place Kings completed a 4-0 sweep of the 2nd place Blues.

The Kings dominated the first round ended the President’s Trophy winners by winning the series 4-1 against the Vancouver Canucks. Everyone expected the Canucks to be playing the Blues in the Western Conference final this season by the Los Angeles Kings had something else in mind. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick has truly dominated the playoffs. He has made huge saves losing only 1 out of 9 games so far in the playoffs. Kings captain Dustin Brown has been an enormous factor for them in the post season. He had two goals today against the Blues and he has 6 goals and 11 points so far in the playoffs.

Here’s a look at just how good Jonathan Quick really is:

Most likely the Los Angeles Kings will face the Phoenix Coyotes in the Western Final where the winner of that series will move on to the Stanley Cup final. The Coyotes lead their series 3-1 against the Nashville Predators. Goaltender Mike Smith has been the story for the Coyotes as well so if they Kings face the Coyotes in the next round it will be sure to be a battle of the goaltenders.
