Help Wanted: Washington Capitals Need A Coach

The Washington Capitals are now without a head coach. Dale Hunter announced today that he will be stepping down as head coach of the Washington Capitals. Hunter cited “family reasons” as the reason for his resignation.

The Capitals were eliminated in the semi finals against the New York Rangers. The series went to seven games and was decided by one goal. Hunter was brought in to Washington to replace fired head coach Bruce Boudreau. Hunter was a great coach for the Capitals and he brought them from being a losing team to a team that fought to win each and every game. His presence will definitely be missed on the Capitals bench next season.

The question everyone is asking now is who will be the next head coach of the Washington Capitals? The Capitals will join the Montreal Canadiens as they continue their search to fill the spot of head coach. Capitals GM George McPhee is in no hurry to find a replacement for Hunter saying that it might be before the Draft or not until August.
