The Philadelphia Flyers will be without their star forward as they try to avoid elimination on Tuesday night. Claude Giroux has been suspended one game for an illegal check to the head of Dainius Zubrus. The hit occurred in the final seconds of the 2nd period and Giroux was given a minor penalty on the play.
Giroux dominated the first round of the playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins but his goal scoring slowed down in this round against the New Jersey Devils. He has 17 points in the playoffs and has had a career season with the Flyers.
