The Phoenix Coyotes take a 3-1 series lead with 1-0 win last night against the Nashville Predators. The only goal was scored by Shane Doan in the first period. That was Doan’s 3rd goal of the playoffs.
The Coyotes won the game but they may have lost defenseman Rostislav Klesla as he is schedule to have a hearing with Brendan Shanahan on Sunday. Klesla got called for boarding against Nashville’s Matt Halischuk. He appeared to grab Halischuk’s jersey before nailing him into the boards in front of the Coyotes’ bench. Halischuk left briefly but returned and was able to finish the game.
Here’s a look at the Klesla hit on Halischuk:
Do you think Klesla deserves a suspension? He was suspended once before for clipping Tuomo Ruutu. Will Shanahan add extra punishment for being a “repeat offender” like teammate Raffi Torres?
