Big Night For Phoenix!

Not only did the Phoenix Coyotes beat the Nashville Predators but they now move onto the Western Conference finals. They eliminated the Predators 4 games to 1. The Coyotes have been the underdogs throughout these playoffs and they just keep on surprising everyone.

No one would have predicted a Western Conference final featuring the Phoenix Coyotes and the Los Angeles Kings. This proves that anything can happen in the playoffs. The Coyotes eliminated the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round 4-2. The Kings have eliminated the Vancouver Canucks in the first round 4-1 and the St. Louis Blues in the second round 4-0.

The Western Conference final is going to be a huge battle between goaltenders. Coyotes’ Mike Smith and Kings’ Jonathan Quick have been absolutely phenomenal in the playoffs giving their teams every opportunity to be successful. This is the first time in franchise history the Phoenix Coyotes have made with to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

Other big news in Phoenix is that NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced the that a purchasing agreement for the Phoenix Coyotes have been made. Former CEO of the San Jose Sharks Greg Jamison is interesting in purchasing the Coyotes. Jamison represents a group interested the Coyotes and he has come to a primary agreement with the NHL to purchase them. This is great news for Phoenix. The sale has not been complete but just the announcement of a sale in the works is a great progress for Phoenix.
