Stamkos Sets New NHL Record

The Tampa Bay Lightning’s All-Star forward Steven Stamkos has set a new NHL record with his overtime goal last night. He is the first NHL player to score 5 overtime goals in a single season. Stamkos’ overtime goal last night eliminated to Winnipeg Jets from playoff contention.

Steven Stamkos leads the NHL with 56 goals and is 2nd in the NHL with 92 points. It’s hard to believe a team with the NHL leading scorer on it isn’t going to make the playoffs this season. The Tampa Bay Lightning will need to get their act together in the off season so they can give their fans something to cheer about next season. It’s a shame that someone with Steven Stamkos’ talent will have to watch the playoffs instead of playing in them.
