The San Jose Sharks have now moved out of a playoff spot. They were shutout by the Phoenix Coyotes last night 3-0. The 9th place Sharks have been struggling lately and they show no signs of turning things around. They just can’t seem to get any offense going lately. The Sharks keep trying to blame goaltender Antti Niemi but he can’t do everything for the team. This is a game of hockey, you need to score to win.
With San Jose now one point back of the 8th place Colorado Avalanche they need to stir things up and start winning soon or their season will be over before they know it. In their last 10 games they have a record of 2-6-2 and which is only better than one team and that’s the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Sharks better start winning and they better do it quick because they are on the outside looking in and with all the teams making a push for the playoffs San Jose could get swallowed up by the competition.
