Ben Bishop Injured As The Senators Destroy The Penguins

Ottawa Senator’s goaltender Ben Bishop had to leave the game tonight during the second period after falling awkwardly. He has a suspected lower-body injury and was no able to return to the game. Craig Anderson replaced him in net.

The Senators were still able to pull off a huge win against the Pittsburgh Penguins 8-4. Tonight’s win was a big win for Ottawa as it brings them 2 points closer to the division leading Boston Bruins. Daniel Alfredsson scored twice and had 2 assists tonight to lead the Senators past the Penguins. Sidney Crosby got his 3rd goal of the season but it wasn’t enough as Pittsburgh falls short and were unable to close in on the 1st place New York Rangers.

The Ottawa Senators can’t afford another goaltending injury. Craig Anderson just played his first game last night since cutting his hand a month ago. Let’s just hope that Ben Bishop’s injury isn’t too serious. I will keep you updated once more details are released.
