The Chicago Blackhawks were dealt their 7th straight loss by the San Jose Shark last night. The final score was 5-3; goals for San Jose were by Justin Braun, Dan Boyle, Joe Thornton, Benn Ferriero and Jamie McGinn. Three of those goals were power-play goals. Marcus Kruger scored 2 goals for the Blackhawks and Bryan Bickell got their last goal of the night.
The game was tied 3-3 at one point but the Sharks were hungry for more; scoring 2 goals in the 3rd period. But there was more to the game than just scoring. There were 2 fights last night. Ryane Clowe fought with Jamal Mayers and in the 3rd period Bryan Bickell fought with Jamie McGinn.
Overall the game was exciting but the Blackhawks really need to pull together and get some wins soon because they are falling out of playoff contention.
Lucky for Chicago they get a chance at turning their luck around tonight against the Phoenix Coyotes. The not so great news for the Blackhawks is that the Coyotes have won 4 straight games and a win tonight will put them only 3 points back of the Blackhawks.
